Update
Made a lot of progress and I actually think the game is pretty fun which is always hard to say on stuff I work on.
- Added target selection
- No more moves penalty -25hp. Clears the board.
- Shop has items to buy
- Event story nodes has outcomes
- Curses. Negative abilities from event.
- run score and total.
The game is played more like Puzzle Fighter than Tetris. Your goal is not to have clean boards but to do optimal damage with the space you have.
You try to be too clean, you won’t do damage quickly enough to beat the enemies with good health to get to the end.
You do damage quickly but your board is too messy you’ll get penalized if your board cannot do any moves and the board is cleared.
Targeting helps with optimization damage too.
Current things on my mind….
Game might be too hard right now. Can’t reach the end.
I need to balance the abilities, heroes and monsters.
Curses are cool, and at some point we can add them to starting run modifiers to make runs different.
Wondering if I should add different heroes and allow the player to select their team at start to give some fun customization per run.
